A Crafting We Will Go....

Ann Moore's gorgeous creative embroidery
Where did March go???  There seems to be an endless amount of events on this Easter for artisan makers, but I am betting the place to be will be our first Craft Fair on Friday, April 29th at An Díseart in Dingle from 10-6pm.  There will be over 30 stallholders, craft demonstrations all day featuring our Handmade Sessions, face painting for the kids, and more! Please come join us for this wonderful family day out.  Buy the best that Kerry has to offer!

Ann Moore will be exhibiting on the day and demonstrating her fabulous embroidery, creative and otherwise, for the crowds.  Ann uses a lot of found objects
Another of Ann's embroideries with layers revealed
to embellish and incorporate into her work and creates decorative objects by combining various fabrics, threads, clays and embroidery stitches. She’s inspired by the strength and beauty of nature and especially the sea. Ann studied creative embroidery and ceramics at NCAD through evening classes for several years. In 2009,she was awarded the NCAD Students Union prize for Ceramics for a sculptural piece she made called "Feothanach."  In embroidery, she mostly work with silk, cotton and recently some West Kerry fleece as the background for hand and machine embroidery. The result is usually heavily textured and abstract.
